E. May Saunders Endowed Scholarship

At the time of her death in January 1969, E. May Saunders was one of two faculty members remaining who had been with the University since its establishment in 1911. She had been a member of the music faculty and was prominent in the social and religious life of the community. Her bequest was the largest ever received by the MTSU Foundation at the time.

To be considered for the E. May Saunders Endowed Scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in the College of Education & have financial need. Preference is given to applicants who intend to teach and have included musical training in their college coursework.

Scholarship is for one academic year and is renewable at the discretion of the College of Education Scholarship Committee.

The recipients shall be selected by the College of Education Scholarship Committee.
